An Experimental Study on the Socketed Pile in Soft Rock

Pile foundation systems are used in India many projects such as metro and railways, flyovers, multi-story buildings. The pile transfers superstructure load to the substructure, i.e. rock layers by means of skin resistance end-bearing resistance. In this study, an attempt is made observe performance socketed piles soft rock. A series small-scale model laboratory studies have been conducted using loading frame. Load tests were performed on a steel calculate its axial load-bearing capability at various socket depths. An unconfined compression test was pseudo-rock variations find out properties used. results showed ability drilled enhance strength pseudo also optimum depth for
